How do you record your gameplay? I am having problems doing so with my Gosu-ruby game. Which is weird:

I'm using a rather decent iMac that is able to run Starcraft II or Diablo III etc with max settings and record the gameplay smoothly - both in OSX and Windows 7 bootcamp.

But for some reason, it is not the same case for my Gosu-ruby game. In fact, when I try to record it, it slows down to the point I simply can't continue recording because the quality is terrible.

I tried with Fraps, Camtasia and other things - some worked slightly better than the others, but they all failed. Ideas?

PlayClaw. Tested, works perfect

I found that Fraps worked the best out of the things I tried, but since I didn't want to pay for it, I don't use it :)

I didn't try PlayClaw though, but that is another non-free option.

Right, I checked PlayClaw. It reduced by FPS from 70 to 30, but I suspect that makes sense when recording at 30FPS. If your game can't cope with a variable FPS (for example, if the player moves a number of pixels per update, not per second) then that would break your game quite well :)
