Hey,

I really love the social zen of GitHub, and I really despise GoogleCode for smelling like a typical Google site, so I'd like to move to GitHub fullstop. Also I keep forgetting to log out of Google and I don't want my name to be associated with my search queries, yuck. Git Tower.app and other projects such as this script make the step much easier for me.

Edit: tl;dr, I solved the question in here via IRC, thanks guys.

The issue conversion worked well too, except that I probably spammed everybody's feed by opening ~80 issues :)

This mosly leaves the wiki, the downloads and upload rake tasks, and links on the front page. I'll try to do a little bit here and there over the next days, feel free to issue awesome PULL REQUESTS.

Haha, my first reaction was "oh my god, what happened", but it slowly dawned on me what was going on. Glad to see you on GitHub! I'll probably be more inclined to have a go at any features I'd like to see in Gosu now—although that still depends on my ability to implement them in C++. ;)

Meanwhile, there's a GitHub Issues app on Heroku that's a little nicer than the web interface. There's even a downloadable Mac version and extensions for Safari and Chrome. I think the Mac app complements Tower nicely.

Wow, thanks. I usually don't use the issue tracker much, but now that people have it easy to fix stuff outside the C++ core, I might just file more issues too.

My usual way of working is to put everything into OmniFocus, which was synced to GoogleCode's ToDo wiki page via AppleScript: http://code.google.com/p/gosu/wiki/ToDo

I guess I will keep working with OmniFocus internally and file issues for everything that I need some help with.

GitHub has a pretty decent RESTful API (with library interfaces for several languages), and the wikis themselves are independent git repositories, so you could probably hack something together when you're feeling ambitious!
