Thanks to maushu for pointing me to this site:

http://blog.ruby4kids.com/

They teach programming and do something that I love to do: point to game programming as an appetizer with a shareable result. In this case, it was a Ruby/Gosu game that they bundled as an OS X application.

Gosu has often been used for university projects and in education and this always warms my heart. Makes me want to work harder on the OS X deployment too :)

Thats really cool, well done!

I use Gosu at Uni alot, I used it last year for my C++ assignment. This year everything has to be our own, but Ruby/Gosu has served very well for prototyping and/or level editors :D. I think I have converted a few people to use it during the next LD, although I've thought that before :(

learning languages as kids is fun, you dont mind grinding away at awful code, I got taught turbo pascal and made the worst possible coded blackjack.
