also: public release yes, as soon as Windows/Mac packaging is sorted out (poit uses gosu,yaml,ruby-opengl and some other gems, so this might get get tricky).

finally after a long hiatus i'm back working on this project.

out of curiousity: i need two standard-ruby classes (YAML, Socket) .... any way i can import them in the RubyGosu Mac Bundle??

You mean the .app wrapper? I think I already compiled YAML and Socket in, did you try it?

crashes for me when i try to require "YAML" or "socket". :(

YAML isn't mandatory (i use ".irb" files and eval() instead), but it would be sooooo sweet to have socket for highscore uploading & multiplayer.

Hmmm, I just dragged the corresponding C files into the project and compiled, does it work?

RubyGosu App.app.zip

You still have to provide the Ruby 'yaml' file around the syck.bundle from the 1.9 lib directory.

just made my first http request from the gosu app - it works perfectly fine - thanks a lot!!!!

when you say just-drop-in-the-required-c-file, does that mean i can download the sourcecode and add the .c files from the official ruby built to roll my own gosu app bundle, if required?

I think I actually committed the Ruby 1.9 source into SVN so it should all be there. Just needs a 'make' so all the autogenerated source files are there.

Whenever I need more C extensions, I add their .c and .h files to the Xcode project to statically link them in and just call Init_xxx in the .app's main() function.

Why don't you use NET/HTTP or whatever that HTTP-class for ruby was called?
