I noticed that the ruby-opengl gem has been replaced with the opengl gem and has been receiving bugfixes and updates since then in that gem. Is it possible to use the opengl gem instead of ruby-opengl with gosu 0.9.1 in ruby-2.0.0-p247? I'd like to be able to use the opengl es 2.0 bindings
Opengl gem works fine with Gosu, but not all features are supported in 0.9.x (like shaders). If you want to use it fully, you have to downgrade to Gosu 0.8.x
The changes in Gosu 0.9 are really mostly superficial. I'm not sure why Ashton broke - but chances are that raw OpenGL will still work.
From Ashton I'm using only shaders and framebuffers. And only shaders are broken, so it's not that bad.
Yes! Thanks for reminding me to update the reference to
ruby-opengl on the libgosu.org homepage.
