What are the chances of getting Gosu working on a Console such as a Sega Saturn,Sega Dreamcast,Sony Playstation 1 or 2,Xbox
Gosu would probably work on the above Consoles if they where running linux right?
how hard would it be to get Ruby installed on the above consoles?
I have heard about plans for Gosu on I-Phone though are there any other mobiles that could run Gosu? such as the Nokia N-Gage?
Also which version of Gosu would be best suited to Consoles/Mobiles?Ruby or C++? at a guess I would think C++ though from what ive read the C++ version of Gosu has issues getting C++ and Gosu to be nice to each other
Yeh I agree the wiz looks very nice,I want one too!
one thing that im alittle concerned about though is the d-pad on the right as the action buttons
I read on the net they are going to make a revised version which will remove the d-pad on the right and replace it will normal buttons, though can not find any screen shots to show the new design
have anybody tryed the wiz???
Gosu should work on the wiz with no or little modifications as the os is linux ubuntu, any comments?
I think it would be great if we could get Gosu to work on the PSP and the wiz, they would be a great handhelds for making games on
Hmmm, if the controls of the Wiz are reported to Ubuntu as USB devices, then Gosu will not recognize them. Gamepad support on Linux is still missing, until I either get to it on the ToDo (it's scheduled for the version after the current slew of bugfixes). Or until someone contributes it ;)
Is the current version the best version of gosu to use when making Iphone game or does it have any problems?
have you got sound and music to work on the iphone?
Which would be the best C++ compiler to use when making gosu games for the iphone?

You always need to use Xcode and a fresh build of Gosu from SVN, and I can't offer real support for the iPhone version beyond that yet. It's kind of the adventure port of Gosu where you have the information posted in the other iPhone/C++ thread, and are expected to know your way around Xcode for general iPhone development to make the switch to Gosu. Most of the setup work is outside the scope of this board.
But yes, sound and music work, except looping of songs and MID/S3M/XM/IT/MOD files. You can guess some of this stuff by tracking the ToDo wiki page.
I think I will wait a while until you have done a bit more work on the iphone version of gosu ,like adding looping music etc as it seems it is still in early stages of dev
in the meantime I will make gosu games with ruby for windows, mac and linux
Yep, this is quite old news. If you take a look at the price tag you'll find out why I've already ported the audio system to OpenAL ;) And Song looping isn't really as horrible of an omission as it sounds, it has only been in the "desktop" version of Gosu for a few months :)
