Up Topic Gosu / Gosu News / Gosu 0.7.22 released
- By jlnr (dev) Date 2010-06-16 17:48
Hey,

Gosu 0.7.21 had two pretty bad, but easy-to-fix bugs, so I hurried up to get 0.7.22 out:

2010-05-17: All: Transforms are now applied in reverse order (the one that makes sense)
2010-05-17: All: Fixed CJK support throughout Gosu

The next release will now take a bit longer, I hope, as I want to focus on iPhone/iPad dev, and then come back with new features instead of bug fixes.

Great! Sadly, it'd take time to develop that port, which means that we'll wait longer for another update. Let's see if that port works properly after its release.

I'm still getting an error with SSLEAY32.DLL when trying to get the gosu gem, though I have reinstalled rubygems...

That is because some Ruby distributions from ruby-lang.org do not include DLLs for some of their libraries. If you use one of the installers from http://rubyinstaller.org/, you should not have that problem.

Yes they just released a new one-click installer. Now it works. Before I used like 4 version of the dll without success...

Wow I have just noticed how fast it is to draw now. Congratulation for this pure awesomeness (if you really have changed something ) !

Not in 0.7.22 specifically. If you use transforms for scrolling instead of doing the math yourself, you might save something though. :)
