I made a little project just to get some gameplay up and running quickly. It's pretty much a copy of a game I remember playing seven years ago, though I can't remember what it was called.

I believe the original, or at least the most famous, variant of this is called Sokoban.  The ice and arrow elements remind me of the puzzles in pokemon though.

I also used the pokemon for reference, lazy as I am xD haven't heard of Sokoban, I'll check it out

Wow, it shouldn't start out so tough. My brain is too lazy when in gaming mode :P I loved the whole execution though, except the lack of audio. The code looks pretty interesting too, the Keyboard mapping is very neat and I also like the way the player implements his states.

Actually it's that hard because I needed to test the gameplay, rather than creating a level xD
I really like the keyboard mapping :P first thing to set up whenever I start a project. Could make a little package/gem/plain_ruby thingy and put it up on the forum if people would use it.

I've experimented a lot with finding a clean way to handle many character states, since I'm working (or want to work) on my platformer game.

Looks fun; I've been meaning to play this. I'll try it as soon as I can get on my own computer. :)
